need recommendation on cue caddy/cue holder

I am in the market for a good cue holder while at the pool room. I am tired of just leaning the cue any old where. I tried Q claw and its way too heavy! Plus, it does not allow the cue to clip in and can still be bumped loose and knocked on the floor. As much talk about cue protection while in the case and very little about protection while playing your match and running to the bathroom????

Any and all comments and recommendations appreciated!!

You might want to look into The Gripper by Bauer Enterprises:

...and the optional strap that attaches it to the outside of your cue case, thus completely obviating the need to use-up your cue case's pocket:

Admittedly, this is no lighter than the Q-Claw, but it's much better in the table-surface-gripping department, as well as deep-cut channels in the special "sticky" rubber that really hold on to the cues. A drunkard stumbling into one of these things is hard-pressed to knock the cues out.

It's very lightweight and portable. It will fit in almost any cue case accessory pouch. I introduced it in these forums a couple of days ago and got some tremendous feedback. One of the concerns that people had is that the cue notches are not lined, so some people are afraid that their cue might be dinged if it is hit or kicked by accident. My personal opinion is that if someone hits or kicks my cue(s), I might have to start hitting and kicking back.:grin: Seriously, though, I can see their point so I am working on that little problem today: I'm presently in the process of lining the notches in my personal holder with a soft material to see how it works out. I also want to work on a way to actually lock the cues into place so that if they should somehow get kicked, that they won't fall to the floor and get much more serious damage than a ding.
