Update on the Des Moines pool scene

I could say so much about what went on tonight but I won't. I am extremely disappointed in a lot of guys right now. Just remember I had peoples back and haven't asked for anything in return. I'd hoped when I called in a favor guys would play. I was sadly mistaken.

List of spots Jamie offered on the bar table for pretty good money while being hammered and having money(several hundreds) to post with me:

Mike Henderson - Called 7 in 9-Ball
Jody - Called 8 in 9-Ball
Pet - Called 7 in 9-Ball
Athens - Called 8 in 9-Ball

Jamie didn't get played...

Definitely going back in my box.

That lady was one hell of a marketer! She talked me into buying raffle tickets for a double's tourney a few months ago. I tried to bypass her, and since I know some sales techniques myself, I sat there and objectively admired her as she eventually talked me into betting 10 bucks. It was quite a feat on her part.

RIP...Des Moines pool lost a good partner.

It BLEW that's for sure. I've never in my life seen a guy say "Yes I'm drunk, but I can get staked and give you a spot and admit he probably can't win but he wants to gamble."

He was gonna give me the 6out playin 10-ball for $50/set but Jimmy wouldn't go higher there. Had I known I would have played and just won $50 or a $100, I was thinking about the other $900 that was available for action though, silly me.

Done.

P.S. DCT and White Diamond Tourney are streaming today.

How much did you lose? none? to Jamie?
Consider it a positive day and move on!

Wise words from the great philanthropist, Tom K.," I'd rather lose $500 to Pet every day that lose 50 bucks to Jamie once!"

My guess is that Mike,Jody,Pet, and Athens all were thinking the same thing. Even if they win, they lose. Not money, but time listening to him babble about having to give up the world, no one will play him even, blah blah blah.

Today is a new day, enjoy it!

What your missing is that there was ZERO negotiations from the stable. The stable didn't wanna run! Posting wasn't an issue(on either side!)

Just read Jason's post about Rhea. Sorry to hear that. :( I used to really like her tournaments at Smokie's (and before that at a bowling alley) but the calcuttas got so high we couldn't afford to go anymore - largely because of her outlandish bidding! I won an Olney at one of those tournaments - wish I still had it.

On a different, brighter note - I am wondering what Big Dog's will be charging to attend the Earl/John Schmidt exhibition? Anybody know?

Lol, how do you always end up getting into it with him? He's like double your age. You gotta be nice to him so he will let you have his money.

Apparently he has Alzheimer's or something and keeps forgetting to watch who he is talking too(including his own team mates!).
Apparently he don't realize I can only take so much before I let myself or my brother(in this case last night) smack the taste out his mouth.
Apparently I'm getting soft in my old age cuz a few years ago, he wouldn't have "ALMOST" got smacked.

But I did warn him that last nights antics were the last I would tolerate and then the smacking would commence.

As for the money, I don't need it bad enough to take it from(as my brother put it) someone I don't even respect as a human being.
When you call out your own team mates character, thats grounds for an ass whoopin' in itself.

As I doze off at work this morning this makes me laugh. I knew he was a jerk from the very first time I met him. Since then from what I have seen, my first impression was right.
 
Frost you ready for tonight? We play a somewhat challenging team so we could use the win. Not to mention we got a 1st round bye so we're behind everyone right now. I'll be at ankeny stix around 5 if you want to play some.

I'll be available for some slight coaching. I've still never lost a match on Tuesdays and I've already ran over 3 of this teams players, don't foresee anything different unless we get put on a cramped table, I can't play at all when things are too tight. I'm going to get my hair cut after work and will be there as close to 7 as possible. I think we will be fine against this team.
 
Year end tournament

Who is playing in the tournament on Saturday? Anyone know of any qualified players that aren't going to make it? Should be a good tournament and a good time as usual.
