After playing with it Sunday night I can see why BB cues are so popular.
It played exceptionally well, even with the old tips.
I was pretty surprised.

A curly maple forearm on an early BB is RARE!!!
This cue is an investment piece as well as a
potentially phenomenal player.

can you measure the length of the pin to the nearest 1/16"?
 
Ted was nice enough to let me hit with the Black Boar before he even had a chance to and it plays very well.

I will get into the pin measurements when I have a minute to dig it out and really look closely.
If I can't get it to the 1/16" I'll have Chris Byrne look at it.

I appreciate the comments, the curly is a nice touch but I haven't compared it to other BB cues.

That Jensen and JB is hawt! Is it bad etiquette to ask what price you picked up the Jensen and BB at? Dying to know if it's worth trying to head down to one of those auctions top get a deal.

No problem asking.
In my opinion they were all great deals but since nobody outbid me who really knows.
The dynamics of collecting cues seems like some deals turn out to be great and some not so great, but it's a lot of fun.
I especially like that Jensen cue and I have 4-Jensens.
A friend called me today and told me he saw it in his Billiards Encyclopedia.
It's an old one with JC on the butt cap.
I hit quite a few balls with it and was impressed.
