Anyone have pictures fixing rubber on rails. Areas of the rail are letting go causing dead rails. I want to remove, clean and reinstall. Also, the black crown table has issues with the cut. The pocket facings are curved in the jaws. I want to cut these or insert facing/shims.

How to, type of glue and pictures of this type of work would be great.

Good luck on a black crown. The rails are cut wrong from the factory. You will see what i mean when you pull the table apart and look at the angles.

8 tables and everyone is cut wrong. All of the faces of the pockets are curved and makes pocketing a ball, tough at best.

I am hoping they just cut the rubber in the jaws wrong. If not, I'm going to trim the rail.

What is the best low cost new rubber in case I have to replace? I have no idea the cost for 6 rails. I was thinking K66 just have to make sure they will fit.

I am pretty sure those take k-55. You will need to measure the rails to find out. Just go with Championship, if you want some low cost deacent rubber. You can call Dartman and he can help you.

Thanks, Ron

The reason why they are curved is because somebody tried to correct the angle with the rubber and you need to start with the rails. Basically to correct this you will have to cut the ends and install a small subrail with the correct angle or just build new rails for them. It is alot of work, but that is the only way they are going to play correctly.
Thanks, Ron

The glue is 3M-10
If you plan to do any cushion or rail end work you'll also need a rail felt set.
That said - you may as well pull the cloth on the worst rail and post some pics of the
situation for further diagnosis before going further.

I have a Black Crown and called the company(canada Billiards) and the cushions are K-55 . Also would be interested to know what you mean by curved facings.

As Ron mentioned, the cushion ends are probably rounded off similar to snooker ends.

They are pool cushion with the face having a slight curve. It was like this from the factory. All 8 tables are the same.

These are not the pockets, I just found pic online and used them. How much are K55 rails?
