The second installment of the 2010 Agipi Billiard Masters invitational 3C tournament will be streamed live Friday, Jan.29, through Sunday, Jan. 31. The live feed will be available at http://www.agipibilliardmasters.com/en/ The venue is near Strasbourg, France, so there is a 6 hour time difference for the US east coast and 9 hours for the west coast.
Ten players will compete in two round-robin flights with the top two in each flight advancing to the final in March. Games are to 50 points with no equal innings. The first tie-breaker is head-to-head. In the first installment in November there were two big upsets. Bury beat Blomdahl head-to-head and Blomdahl was eliminated despite having a better average. Zanetti won this flight. In the other flight, Sanchez lost to Jaspers and Kasidokostas and failed to advance in spite of his 2.116 average.
Flight C includes Frederic Caudron, Semih Sayginer, Martin Horn, Ramon Rodriguez, and Jerome Barbeillon. Flight D consists of Roland Forthomme, Eddy Merckx, Kyung-Roul Kim, Nikos Polychronopoulos, and Jean-Christophe Roux.
