I am attempting to cut the grooves in my forearm with a cnc machine. I am using a 3/4 inch square router bit. I am having some success but one side is a bit shorter than the other. What Im doing is starting at the front of the forearm and cutting toward the back and cutting downward and inward with both the y and z. I have to make a few passes. Then I index it 90 degrees and do the same thing. They look pretty good except one side is a little shorter than the other. Is there an easier way to do this or do I have to keep trying different coordinants. Maybe I should just spring for a v-groove bit but I thought I could do I with a straight bit. The blanks seem to fit tight in the grooves but I think I have to fiddle around with the y and z to get it just right. Thanks for any suggestions.
