Hi there,

I'm interested in buying a 70's or early 80's (Green Logo) Mali cue. 18.5 - 19 oz. range with points and veneers. Inlays, joint construction, ringwork, etc. are fine either way. I'm wanting a player so I need for the butt to be striaght and the shaft(s) to be pretty straight.

Price is dependent on the cue, but I need to keep it at or under $150. The only real exception to price would be if it comes with two shafts. Then I could go up.

I'm not too familiar with a lot of older cues, but if you've got something vintage in that price range and with those specks feel free to contact me.

So, come on, show me what you've got just sitting around collecting dust. I'll give it a good home :)

Thanks in advance-

J.

Yeah, that's the one that got me started on this. You got to love eBay. One almost exactly like it sold on 02/01 for $86. I put a bid in last night and got outbid. Now it's over my range. I need to be on the bay more often...

An older Mali was the first "real" cue I ever got to shoot with. I just think it would be cool to have one. Then I started thinking it would be nice to own a cue that is about my age (b. 1976).

Thanks for the suggestion.

So, no older Mali's out there, or none in my price range?

Well then, Woody, that makes you smarter than me

Hmmm, no other responses? I guess I'll let this fall into old post oblivion...

Mali

A Mali was my starter cue too. And it looked like that same model that was listed on ebay. If I knew it was available I may have taken a run at it. I've also thought about acquiring cues identical to the ones I played with as a teen. If I get one though, it'll be a Meucci JR-4.

Older Mali

I have an old Mali model M-15, for $300 if interested, that is my bottom dollar, cue is pretty much perfect, dead straight.

Ron F: Do you mean the Jim Rempe model #4? If so, that is a sweet cue. I was always partial to #1 in that series. Not that I want to create competition for myself, but there is another older Mali on eBay ending in a few days. I'm waiting for the seller to answer some questions before I bid...

Rodcar: I appreciate the response, but $300 is out of my range right now. I may just have to accept that I will have a hard time finding one of these cues in decent shape at that price point.

Anybody know of a link for pics of old Mali cues? I'm pretty handy with Google, but search results were almost non-existant.
