Schon shaft and Joss shaft

I don't have the correct tools to measure, but does anyone know the differences between the Schon and Joss shaft? I'm not interested in the tip, ferrule, collar, etc. I just need the taper difference and/or or wood.

I'm trying to see how I would like a Triangle tip on my Schon and I have a few Joss shafts around (with Triangle tips). So, this is as close of a test as I can do unless I change out the Schon tip. Both are similiar so I thought this might be a good test.

never tried either of those cues, but i've put triangle tips on every stick i've had and always liked them.

Yeah, I like them too. I also like the Schon factory tip. I live in a rural area, so I will have to ship my shaft off to get a new tip. So, I was trying to make a few comparisons before I made the change.

Putting on your own tips is not that hard. Just a bit of practice will save
you bunches in the long run. You can also do some for your friends too.

Yeah, I got that thread bookmarked. And I do change the tips on my house cues and lower priced cues. I even have a lathe (homemade). However, I wouldn't dare touch my Schons. My ability is not where it needs to be to risk it.
