Update on the Des Moines pool scene

Well, at least that is one person...gauranteed to get in the money and at least break even lol.
Off the top of my head I'd say Jason R., Justin, Jason Chance, Troy, Theo, Phil, Mikey Henderson(if he doesnt go to Quincy), Dean, Flip, Jon Brown, Me, maybe Don Coats from KC, Kirk Glass, Asian Chans, Asian Jimmy, Gary DeCarlo, Pet, Tony Ehlers and Company, and that's just off the top of my head. I know I forgot people, trust I expect there to be about 20 people.
I feel like its going to be good and we will have some random folks show up I am sure. Going to go bump the thread in the tournament section. The flyer is also on iowapoolplayers.com, there are also flyers in Big Dogs.
You don't have to play to participate. Come out and buy raffle tix or do the break contest. Come eat and drink. Whatever the hell you do, just come. I guarantee it will be a good day.
Hmm....with one hand that might be difficult. I might practice this at league tonight.
Fortunately you only need one hand to take a shot, or drink a beer/mixed drink....otherwise I would really be screwed.

I am doing all i can to get Dean/Flip and those guys to play. Would think Ray maybe Brent, Danny could be possible. Worm said she might show up also. ALso Rick G is gonna play if i can get him woke up on Sat morning.
Jenny did say the Athens family would be out of town at a funeral.

With or without Jody the show will go on. We aren't on bad terms and if he doesn't want to come play one pocket that's his choice. This tournament will be a whole lot easier than the one in Olathe though so he has a slightly better chance to cash.
Yeah Ray is going out of town too. Brent and Danny will probably come up and play and I forgot Rick G. was wanting to play too. If Jake doesn't have to work he also said he would play.
I'm just looking forward to Saturday and if people don't want to play because I told them I disagreed with how they play the game than so be it. I'm okay with that.
I am going to try and make it but my son has a basketball tournament. I am trying to get away but wont know till probably sat, when I find out the game schedule.

Pisstosh....unless it's rack your own your plan won't work! The only pattern racking in 1 hole I have seen is rack your own and putting all 7 stripes on one side with the hopes that they will spin closer to your hole since they weigh .0000001 oz heavier due to the painted stripe on the ball.
What a dumbass, everyone knows that the solids have more paint on them. The stripes weigh less. Dont make yourself look like an idiot saying otherwise. lol
For a while, guys in NY were racking with the numbers touching as much as possible under the somewhat dubious notion that the paint/stain whatever was slightly raised and having these two raised areas meeting, gave a slug rack. This came about through trying to figure out why when Frankie racks, you almost never make a ball. They thought that was his secret.
Special circumstances require special accomodations, I'll look out for you just let me know.
I tried to sandbag and failed miserably but I do urge/support people to sandbag for their own benefit. If you don't like it, then you don't like it.
If you don't have anything going on and don't want to play based on me or others well that's like masturbation, in the end you are only f*cking yourself. You can play well enough to win but I understand if you don't want to play.
Damn I heard if you put the 1-Ball on the corner toward your opponents hole you can break harder because the 1-Ball doesn't roll as far since people break into it the most.
I thought you guys knew something about pool, I GUESS NOT!
