That's a traditional, old school looking and "tame" Tonkin cue I've seen. Are both shafts laminated?

Hey Tommie

I met Pete Tonkin yesterday. His cues are beautiful. In fact one of his cues is the favorite to win cue of the year here at Valley Forge.

This is a steal for one of his cues.

Jun Shimizu from Japan was bringing Tonkins over and selling them as "PTs" and I got to hit with 10 or more of them, and they all played, hit, and sounded so great that I was suprised that I had never heard of them. Jun wouldn't tell anybody who the reall makers was, but after a bit of research, I was able to put the pieces together. In my opinion, some of the better playing cues I've ever played with, and completely under the radar as far as well known makers. His cues are right up there with some of the best.
Good luck?

You are right Dave, did you know that right now he is the front runner for " Cue Of The Year" at the SBE

I would believe it. Truly under rated cuemaker. The stuff I've seen on his website were a little out there, but the cues he sends to Japan were all "Southish" as far as design. Nice crispy true hitters.

I Don't Believe You Will Ever Find A Tonkin At This Low Of A Price. These Cues Are Destent For The Upper Tier Of Cues!
