I have a mcdermott case that has wood at both ends with their logo inscribed in both. the leather on the rest of the case looks like it has shrunk a little. Overall it is still in good shape but i would like it to look better.

McDermott SuperMac cases were mostly seen at the same time as the D-series McDermott cues if I remember correctly. I'm sure that someone will be able to shed more light on this, but the D-series McDermott cues were from 1984-1990. There has been a general concensus that the SuperMac cases were from around sometime in the 80's which is consistent with the D-series cues. I don't know the exact time frame SuperMac cases were around, but they are very solid cases. So solid, that you could run them over with a truck and the cue would survive because the cases had a metal exterior shell. It appears to be aluminum.

Does it look like this?

Care need to be taken when refurbishing this case. The wood end caps when sanded down could take the McDermott logo right off.
