i wish i knew the original owners name the cue was bought in philly and i will post the new pics for you

ok just a bump if i dont get any more offers im gonna do a raffle for this cue so keep an eye out

Just curious, but the "Pre-Date" cues had wider openings in the top of the pin with smaller threads from being a hand made pin. Any knowlage if your pin was swapped out at any time? Nice cue nevertheless.. Bump

the pin wasnt changed that i know of but the cuecame from the original owner in 1991 and it was a few years old at that time, and as far as i know back then franklin was the only one using this pin style, but i would have no problem sending the cue to lori as long as there is a serious buyer for the cue, i could even email her pics and see what she says from that, but thanks for the bump and ill see if i can get lori to take a look at the pics for me:)

ok one last price drop im willing to let this cue go for 2800 , or 2500 for the cue with out the case:thumbup:

I have a cue from the same era(mid to late 80's) and it has the same pin and veneers, but mine has maple points and pau ferro butt and nose.

maybe I was wrong about the predate franklins having the dowel'ed out tip of the pin because I saw a Kersenbrock/Franklin that resembled my pin. Maybe mine's just a Kersenbrock or something.. Bump for a nice cue!

Nice cue. If it had a single wood buttsleeve i'd be all over it!!!

Regarding the pin, early Franklin predates and DPK's have the larger pin center. However, this smaller dimple is by far more common in predate's.

yes i have noticed that as well the ealry ones seem to have the small hole in the pin, thats why i was happy to find the pics with the same pin on profficiants site, this is for sure an ealry franklin that needs a good home the cue was well played with and needs to find an owner who would like a south west as a shooter:) make some cash offers guys
