And AZ is supposed to provide a free market place just for the cuemakers why?
Oh, and before it was posted that none of the person/persons who did not want this to be a sales site had responed - you must have missed Leonards post.
I too have bought and sold things on this site. Now we are told to do it through the buy/sale thread. OK, fine. There is a simple solution here. One of you that wants this changed should buy AZBilliards, then you can make the rules. Your expecting this to be a democracy when you have no vested interest in it. Your not paying taxes here. Your not depositing a nickel every time you post. What is here is brought to you as a free service and you could try being thankful for what you do have instead of complaining about what you don't.

They have created MANY other sections on this site based on public input, why should the cuemakers be treated worst than the others????? Some of those sections haven't even had a post since 12/09! They have even created a new section to play tournys online. If they can take the time to please all the others why can't they take the 10 minutes to create a section/subsection for us that for the most part, doesn't even need any monitoring from them?
Instead, they take the time to handout warnings to SOME of the people(not all I noticed) because someone who is selling machines is whining, why should he be heard if we can't? Does he carry more weight than others here? I can understand his position if he's a PAYING advertiser, but is he? If not then they are the same level as us.
It seems that the Cuemakers aren't as welcomed here as they once were, and that is to bad, for if they leave, AZ will no longer have any value, IMO.
As for the F/W section, if you read the description, it's for billiards stuff. I for one don't consider cue building supplies as 'billiards stuff' What we're talking about is wood, plastics, metal bolts, etc. To me Billiards stuff is comprised of assembled goods, ready for use, not raw materials, therefore, not suitable to be in the F/W section. Makes sense to me.....
I don't nessessarily understand your tone, but I will agree it's not a democracy, but the age old saying is true, " the squeaky wheels get the oil" If enough people ask for it and show support for it, (and even offer to pay for it) then why not do it as it benifits a group of your members. I'm sure your aware of how advertising rates are based on the number of active memberships?? And if those numbers fall, so does the rates.......
Just some of my thoughts while waiting for dinner
