There will be an 8 ball tournament on the 2nd Saturday of the month which happens to be 3/13 this month and a 9 ball tournament on 3/27 this month.

The bar usuallly adds all green fees back into the tournament and when they get 32 players they add 200 bucks.

There is an auction at 12:30 the 8 ball is a race to 5 or 6 based on number of entrants and the 9 ball is a race to 7 or 9 based on the number of entrants.

The 9 ball drew 20 players a couple of weeks ago and this tournament should draw about the same with this Saturday projected to be a RAINY cloudy day. There will be some competition there and you can get action because many of the players that play in these events have some spare cheese.

Mile Marker 137 on Highway 70.
Missouri River Pub
Head North off of 70, then head West off the service road and make a left into the parking lot of the place with the beer signs in the windows.

22 players today

There is also a side pot where 2 players are drawn, tonights lucky participants were Troy K and Chuck Miles. The pot went from 5.75 a ball to 11:50 a ball at the next tournament.

You break, you make a ball, then you shoot at the 1 or the 9, if you make one of them you keep shooting then you shoot at the 2 or the 10, and it keeps going like this. Once you miss you LOSE. You can quit at any time and take your per ball earnings. The person that draws you name gets 25 percent of your winnings.
Troy K broke and made a ball but missed the 9 ball and was out.
chuck miles broke and did not make a ball.

UP FOR CONSIDERATION,(the final would be a single longer race?) RATHER THAN MAKING THE FINAL A TRUE DOUBLE ELIMINATION, RATHER THAN THE GUY WHO WON THE WINNERS SIDE HAVING TO BE DOUBLE DIPPED. I do not agree with this but I guess there will be a VOTE prior to the next event. Sounds like it has the support of the tournament committee.:D:D:D

I did not make the Millersburg 9 ball event this past Saturday but the winner called me to let me know that they had 20 players again.
Don Crump won this event. I did not get any other results.

But the Saturday after Easter will be the next 8 ball race to 5 event and I plan on being there. I think I am grounded due to Easter being this Sunday.??? Might be able to get out on Saturday if I can get home early??? The wife just clamped down on me after this weekend, even though the event was local??

Will update with more details if Don gives them to me. I am sure the break and run pot is getting up there.

Borgmeyer

SHOULD BE A GREAT SMALL MONEY ADDED TOURNEY WITH AN AUCTION.

Mike Borgmeyer came in 2nd place and no one won the run out pot.

$185 is in there for 4/10

I do not remember who Crump told me who came in 3rd. But if a chance at breaking, making a ball and then making a ball at 18.50 per ball does not interest you then the establishment has done ALL it can to try and get more players.

FYI this 9 ball tourney had 20 players while the Break drew from the pool with 70.

Hell I am going to drive out there and play just for the chance at that break pot on 4/10 besides the fact that I have been grounded for Easter and you should see the BIG SCREENS at Mo River for the Nascar Race on Saturday night. Plus they let you play after the tourney until you cannot walk around the table, where at a regular pool hall. You would spend more on table time. If you go, remember who told you I am always willing to accept a Captain and Coke.

Next event 8 ball on 4/10 $30 entry fee race to 5

Well with EASTER this weekend, my wife has contained me to a 30 mile radius this weekend and Millersburg will be my next stop. Hell I might even play? Unless I can find someone that plays better than me to put in the event? Just about anyone on the planet.

Bump for a great event with an added bounty player and a break and run pot which pays by the ball made.:wink::wink:

Corey Smith from near KC came in 3rd place
Troy Kirkendoll from Moberly came in 4th place.

Well me and my partner finished 7th/8th out of 64 teams today at the Mo8 ball mid session tournament. Dead out and I miss a straight in 5 ball with the 8 ball left for Kenny.

Next week, at 5 of the guys that played at Teachers today are headed out to Millersburg. So, there will probably be about 8 players from St Louis area at this event.

Break and run pot is at $9.75 per ball. With 2 people getting a chance at the cash.:eek::eek:

Well Dustin is staking himself and AJ is working on a TOP SECRET project?
So if I make it to Millersburg it will simply be to participate and have a great lunch and a good time.

Will have to buy the pig farmer for LUCK.

No Millersbug for me this weekend

Will NOT make it this weekend. Good luck to Dustin. He wants a stakehorse for the 500 sets but not for the couple hundred dollar tournaments. I always thought one went in hand with the other????

What do you guys think? Are in when grinding? If the horse wants you to stake him at 500$ sets? Later?:o

16 players make it to Millersburg, Dustin had to babysit.

Well I did not make it to Millersburg but got the results from the champ.
Once again Don Crump dominated the field, barely.

1st Don Crump beat Mike Borgmeyer hill hill to win the tourney
2nd Mike Borgmeyer
3rd Darryl Smith
4th REAL 4th place was Tony Napoli.
5th John Bissell Finished one out of the money

The break and run pot stayed untouched.
At the 9 ball tourney each ball made will be worth $12.50 with 2 people getting a chance to break and run 10 balls for $125, or cash out when you get to a shot you cannot make?? Your choice.

I will be there on the 24th. Since I staked a friend, and hundreds of dollars to pick up at the tourney. So, I will stake myself and get a receipt for charity.
