Help with elforyn

I've used Elforyn & Juma as ferrule materials, but want to build a few cues using these materials for inlays, joints & butts. Can anyone tell me what to expect, using these 2 materials for this application? THANKS...JER

I've used the elforyn for all of the above except ferrules. Yes, it's easy to work with. Machines easily, is not porous, doesn't chip easily like the imitation ivory and takes a finish well. I built a tuxedo cue once using it that turned out quite well.

Thanks Dick. That is exactly the kind of feedback I was looking for. One of the cues I have started is similar to yours, but it has a 1/2" white ring above & below the wrap. It will have 8 black 1/4" dots around each of these rings. It will also have Turquoise spears at the tips of the 4 white points. Also there will be 1" Turquoise diamonds in the bottom of the white points. The butt will have alternating turq & wht 1 1/2" diamonds around. I like your cue very much...JER

Love to work with elforyn. Like the look and the hit. I use it for joints, butt caps, and ferrules. Just be careful it's a tad on the soft side and sands quick.

Jer, I have used Elforyn quite a bit for all of the applications and love the product. When I first used it, I found that you can over heat it and it will get real soft, but haven't had a problem in over 2 years. I love the product. Russ

I love elforyn for joints, butt caps, ferrules and points etc. I like the way it cuts but as stated it does tend to heat up a little but it is a wonderfull material to work with. I like the hit the a ferrule gives.
