Update on the Des Moines pool scene

I have to say nice shootin to Theo, Jody, and Justin! Good tourney today. I was wrong, Jody did play today, and he played good.

Theo caught a gear for sure. He was down 2-0 and came back and beat Jody 3-2 to win the hot seat. Of course after that they gambled a little bit and Jody got ahead. All in all they played damn strong to get there.

I got the balls cleaned for the last 3 or 4 rounds and I'll tell you what, Justin is an animal after the balls are cleaned. I made a couple mistakes but I don't think they were the kind of mistakes that cost you 8 balls and he had some super ball runs against me and John towards the end. Good shooting to Justin too.

Is anyone goin to Vegas from Des Moines for BCA Nationals?
 
The thread is dead for some odd reason. I guess not a whole lot been going on. All I can tell you is I am hating this 2 day work week crap. I should have taken the whole week off. Waking up this morning only made me angry haha!

Who is playing in the Pro Am or wanting to play in the Pro Am...I may be down for some sponsorship activity.

So can you play in that even though you are playing in another division?

Mikey...are you referring to the ISPA tournament? There is no longer a Pro-Am. It was determined that event was a failure. We threw extra money at it, advertised it and still only got a couple of 'name' players interested. We really did not have a good showing of out of town players show up at all.

So we elimimated the event, kept the money and are spreading it to the events we have reserved for the in state league players.

We might try some high stakes mini tournaments though. We have had some success with those...$100 entry fee, single elimination. Hard to get many people interested though.

Ken, Is the added money per event public information? I have looked for it but no luck.
 
My new favorite drink is Grey Goose, X-Rated, and Red Bull...it's so tropical and hits hard. Perfection.

Everybody pumped up for state? Someone find me a ladies partner if they can, I don't know the chix with stix and I want to play in the doubles shabangbang.

How come? Are they banning Elites? I think an elite should be able to play with an Open player, I'll check the website and ***** and moan to Ken haha!

Yeah, I don't think elites are allowed. Hopefully I'm wrong OR we can get them to change it last minute. :)

It makes me angry because I really love to play scotch doubles. Adds a whole new twist to the game.

Edit: Yep, just confirmed it - no elites in the scotch. The more I think about it, the angrier I get. :(

I didn't know elites couldn't play.

We won the league tournament. No not bragging, just stating fact. Officially the best league, best competition, and best payout i've ever been a part of here in dsm.

For anyone here who cares and don't know. Geoff is stepping down running our league. Just when he got it running smooth :(

Good Luck to everyone going to state. Will see some of you on Wed. night. The rest of you all on Thurs.

Anyone want a go farther bet with my team ? Let me know. As far as i can tell there is only 11 teams in masters. Oh and we don't have a bye :)
 
What's up with the master's numbers?? 11 teams? seriously?

There are like only 50 in the masters 8-ball or 9-ball. 45 of which are NOT named Behnke. Good thing they are playing, keeps our numbers up!

Open 1 has less than 230? Open 2 has 400+?? Is this wacky or is it just me??
 
When and how can we get the payoff money for local BCA league?

Is there going to be a party or something like Valley does?
