With all the talk about phenolic and no phenolic I have gotten pretty lost in the world of break tips... I have had the same phenolic tip on mhy break cue for the longest time and know that I must change it prior to vegas. I would like something that has a similar feel to it but I am not sure what my best options are. Any help would be greatly appreciated. And good luck to all going to vegas this year for the BCA...hope to meet some of you there.

Get a Samsara Break/Jump tip. It's almost as hard as phenolic but because it's leather it's a lot more controllable. It's pretty much the stone nuts when it comes to break tips.

can't use 'em for bca. they are not leather. they aren't phenolic, but they aren't leather either so no go in bca for break cue. jump cue yes, break no.

Broke with one of these yesterday. Works pretty well, clearly leather, almost too much spin after getting used to phenolics. Otherwise, I use a hard Moori on my Gilbert. Sumo would be my second choice.
