Having played a lot of pool up there over the years, MN has a great pool scene!!! Seems like Des Moines has more drama from guys with less talent than MN guys. We have guys in Des Moines that think they are world beaters, but couldn't beat the janitor!! Anyway, I will be watching your scene, but I guarantee you don't have our drama...

As the founder and president of the Des Moines Update thread I will tell you this, our thread is often imitated but never has been duplicated...GOOD LUCK!
Probably not much arguing about the quality of MN players, but I remember some MN threads that were interlaced with about as much drama as ours. mnbilliards? Is that site still up? Haven't visited for years. But there were many MN posters there who stirred the pot as much as any IA poster here.

I got lost in the middle of the night in Iowa once. I followed the road from the airport like directed (they forgot to tell me the road was going to jog soon), next thing I knew I was in the middle of a corn maze and could not find my way out. All roads were flat square blocks, could not see over the corn, and moonlight was all I had lighting the snow flurries. All good roads do go out of IOWA.
Why is it so windy in Minnesota? Because Iowa sucks and Canada blows! Sorry, I had to, it's one of the classic Minnesota jokes.

What's Tony Z. doing these days? I miss the MCPT stops in Osceola and Burlington. Always wish they woulda had one in DM at the Meadows. They have banquet rooms NOW though.

We had some minnesota guys come down for Saturday tournaments before, the only one who ever did well was the Tin Man aka Demi Jelatis who is a friend of mine. The rest of the guys who came down, only one has cashed. Put that in a pipe and smoke til your stoned! I'm not barking, just stating the facts. Hell Iowa players go on the road to Minneapolis to pump up haha!
Iowa has an airport?
Iowa may not have an airport now that i think about it. I believe I had to fly into SD to get there.
