Heya all,

Well, we are inches away from moving to our new house.:thumbup:

My wife and I have talked it over, and we are in agreement that I am in need of a cue...but it will be my last for quite some time.

I have one in the works...but forsee it being a fairly long time before it comes to fruition. To that particular cuemaker (you know who you are)...I will stand by to stand by, sir.

To that end...I'm in the hunt for a road/travel cue. My Searing is my pride and joy...but won't be taking any business trips with me. That puppy is staying safe and sound, and within my home state.

I'm in the market for a player...one that I can travel with...and since it WILL be my last cue purchase for quite awhile, I want to make it count.

Here's what I'm after:

-19-19.5 ounces in weight. The closer to 19.25, the better

-STRAIGHT

-Medium-stiff to stiff hitter

-2 shafts preferred...but not mandatory

-Ivory ferrule(s) preferred...Micarta is good too...all others considered on a case-by-case basis

-Piloted steel is a personal favorite...but flat faced wood-to-wood cues okay, if they play on the stiffer side

-Linen wrap preferred...but leather or wrapless okay (case by case)

-Shafts MUST be at or over 12.5mm...and MUST be straight

-Overall condition = "REAL NICE" to "NEW." I don't mind "character marks," but I don't want a chewed up P.O.S. that better resembles a boomerang rather than a cue

As difficult as this will be to believe...I AM serious about this being my last go-around. This is my last shot for a long time. I've got my sights set on a new fence, some new appliances, and perhaps some new carpet. My cue budget is what it is...I have to stick to $750 or less.

Please understand that I am gonna be a bit selective on this run...but feel free to drop me a line with what you have. I'll know the right cue for me when I see it.

Have a great week, ya'll....now go dig deep in your cases and find me a good one!! :D;)

Sharp looking Stacey cue, sir. I will DEFINITELY keep it in mind.

Thanks a ton!

This seems in your weight, stiffness and looks the part of a player:

I also have one listed for a friend that's a player that's currently a package deal but I'm sure could be sold seperately that may also fit your "hit" criteria:

Thanks much for the response, sir. I know all about that MasonH cue...and it's a nice one, for sure.

As for the Kikel...I bet it IS a player. Unfortunately, I don't care for purpleheart. I hear it plays wonderfully...but I just don't dig the color.

Thanks again!!

I have no cue for sale...but reading your wants in a cue, maybe you should give Keith Josey or Jack Madden a call?

Pierce Cue...

One cue maker that I think you should consider is Pierce. He makes one heck of a player cue, and as a new cue maker, you get a LOT of bang for your buck.

Mark, This is the cue you are looking for.

I can change the weight to 19.25oz

If you could hit balls with this cue it would be a done deal!!
If you want to try it out I will send it to you.

I've seen this cue, sir. I like this cue.

It is on my list, for sure. Just waiting for more offers to come in, so I can sort through and find the best one for me.

Much appreciated for your response to my search. Hope to make a decision soon....

I have an interest in Josey cues, for sure. They are nice looking cues...and I hear they play exceptionally well.

Thanks much,

M

TO THE TOP FOR MY LAST CUE PURCHASE!!!! DIG DEEPER IN THOSE CLOSETS, YA'LL...I KNOW MY PLAYER'S ROAD CUE IS OUT THERE!!!

Maybe BCM or Joe Baker?

I think Bryan Mordt (BCM cues) here at AZB has a couple for sale...I have also owned many Joe Bakers, and they've always played lights out as well. BHQ...Brent Hartman, here at AZB may have something also.
