Murnak Cue Cases and McWorter Cues

I own a Murnak Case and I love it. Every time I do a search on Ebay or AZ for a Murnak Case there are almost never any for sale. Kinda the same for McWorter Cues which I own one also. To the point...it appears that almost everyone that owns either of these does not sell them. Almost every other brand of case and cue is on Ebay or AZ. Do you think the lack of resale by owners of Jim's or Jerry's products shows that they have achieved the highest rate of customer satisfaction (AKA once you buy it you keep it forever) in the industry?

IS this based on any facts, or statistics? Otherwise, with all due respect, this sounds like a total shill for your favorite (insert name) casemaker, cuemaker, etc.

Not at all

I am just continually looking to buy either at a good price while the economy is down and cue and case prices on both Ebay and AZ are still pretty low. It was a straight forward question...sorry no stat's or facts...just what I see on Ebay or Az regarding folks selling these cues or cases.

PS: Why would this be a shill...here is the definition of a shill and not my intent at all:

One who poses as a satisfied customer or an enthusiastic gambler to dupe bystanders into participating in a swindle.

I know that Whitten will typically auction off cases on eBay. Here is the latest item up for bid:

I know very little about Murnak operations versus Whitten but I'm under the impression Whitten produces more cases and has more cases in circulation which would lead to a presence on eBay (both new and used). I base this assumption on Whitten cases made available for immediate purchase versus Murnak's made-to-order business model and I believe Dan and Joe Whitten both are involved in production while Jim Murnak is a one man show.

To answer your question, I believe there are simply fewer Murnak cases to be had versus comparable case makers.

Thanks Jude

Hey SS,

Lighten up! I asked a similar question of my fellow AZ'ers a year or so ago. Wanted to know why there were so few Dan Dishaw cues for sale. I hardly qualify as a shill or groupie. Own and play with the same Schon cue for nearly twenty years. Just bought a Carmeli based on input from other AZ'ers instead of the Dishaw.

It is one thing to ask why there are so few.
Its another thing to point out that them not being available means that no one sells them and come to a conclusion about the reasons why none are available, only to then ask, if the conclusion is a result of success.

I could come on and state the same exact thing, but draw a conclusion that since none are available, that people must destroy them so that no one else can ever use them because they suck so bad. (Just an example and not my opinion)

Come on Lyn
You have to be blind to see that this isn't a legitimate question, and is instead, is designed to have positive feedback to feel proud for owning said products, while shamelessly plugging the products.

i.e. GROUPIE.

How long has Mr. Murnak been making cases? I seem to recall him offering a discounted price to AZ members a few years ago. I want to say that it was a promotional thing he did when he first started selling cases. Would a few years ago be around the time he started selling cases?
