On the road, behind the scenes video?

Well I have been thinking about doing this for a while. Over the past three years I have had some great experiences and seen some funny things while on the road with Archer, Varner, Earl, Schmidt, Hillbilly and Deuel. However all I have done so far is try to tell the stories and explain to people about these players real personalities that many do not get the opportunity to see.

Most only get to see the crazy side of Earl playing in matches and not the nice funny guy he really is. Most have never got to see the funny goofy side of Archer to be able to realise he is not always sat with a serious look on his face like you see while he is in a match. The same goes for The other guys and I want people to see the other side and what the pros do when they are not playing in a match.

I think something like this would be be fun and entertaining kinda like a reality TV show. Obviously I am not a expert camera man or producer/editor and so whatever I produce is gonna be the real deal and not set up stuff and would have very little editing if any. I can't halp but think like the Blair Witch project lol hopefully with a better ending.

When its done I am not sure if I will just put it up on the net for free or try and put a little money into the players pockets for participating. So what are your thoughts on this? should I take the time and go get a camera today? This way I can start the project today with my "on the road to the U.S Open 10-Ball with Team CSI"

I may be losingmy mind here but let me know if this would be of interest to any of you.
Mark,

A video like this would be interesting and I would watch it, but I don't think I would buy it if it was basically "home video" quality.

Yeah, I was thinking that myself. If I had someone do the editing etc and make it more pro quality I would have to charge for it just to pay the person who helped me do that stuff. Thanks for the input though.

Mark,

I think that is a great idea, it's a way to show another side of the player... but it has to be real. If Earl is thought of as a crazy guy, then you can't only show him just hugging babies and helping old ladies across the street... it's got to balanced, so it's believable.

Same with Johnny... if he's always so serious, you can't just show him skipping thru the meadow or putting whoopie cushions under everyone.

I believe that the public, when they are shown mostly one side of someone and they form a opinion of that person, you can't just show them being ONLY directly the opposite and come off as being believable.. You can edit it to include more of the rarely seen footage, but you still have to include who they are, as the general public knows them too.

If any of that drivel makes any sense:confused:

I concur. Thats the only way to do it.

I'd definitely be interested in something like this, though it seems like something that would be suited for youtube.
