Here's a few pics of my recently received Jacoby custom 31" butt. I will post a review in the Cue Reviews section.

Very nice. This is my choice as well.
31" butt and 29" shaft. But this is just for me.
Good thing is if you want to go just a little loner you always can.
You let me know if you ever want to get rid of it :grin-square:

Very nice! You must have some long arms if you need a 61 inch cue.

I have gorilla arms :D. I'm going to give you an example comparison (that has nothing to do with arm length). My wife, who stands 5'6", uses a standard 58" cue. Standing up straight and holding her cue in front of her face (butt cap on the floor), the tip of the cue reaches to about the center of her mouth. Me, holding my 61" cue in the same fashion, the tip of the cue is just under my chin (I'm 6'1"). So if you think about, most people over 6' foot tall are probably going to like having a bit more length on their cue. Especially if, like myself, they have very long arms.

I'm in a similar position Maniac. I am 6'3" with a 76" wingspan and use a standard cue with my hand on the butt most of the time. I need to try to find someone locally where I can try out a 60"+ cue and see if it fits better. Did you notice a big difference going from a standard (58") to a 60"+ cue?

I did notice a big and an instant difference using the cue in the 61" configuration. I am (on most shots) now holding the cue about 3-4 inches up from the butt cap (that would be the back of my hand to the butt cap). My bridge hand to the cue ball has probably lengthened by an inch. I always used a shorter bridge than what I thought was necessary because the distance from my bridge hand to my grip hand seemed cramped to me. It all has fallen into place and feels more natural now. I hope this all makes sense to you.

I am wondering how 58" was established as a standard length for cues. It would seem to me now that a cue of about 60" would seem a more normal standard, at least here in North America where an average male is around 6' tall.

I tried both a Marshall 60" and now have a John Bender 62" that fits perfect...there is a huge difference in both stroke and stance with a cue that actually fits my wingspan...35" arms

I also went with a 16" straight taper as I found the normal taper was not long enough for me.

I went with several more fiscally reasonable cues of different lengths until I decided on the final length and had Bender make mine to my specs.

I cant not stress the fact and improvement having a cue that fit me and my stroke over trying to make my stroke fit a production cue.
