Need advice for traveling to Manila

I'm putting into serious consideration the feasibility of spending a week in Manila next summer. I know I've heard of a few AZers either living in the Philippines or having traveled there, so I'm hoping to hear some input about airfare, places to stay and see, all the such.
 
are you filipino? well youll love manila man. im coming home to chicago this july manyb we can meet up and ill break down on how to not get killed in a 3rd world country lol!!!

Nope, not the least bit Filipino, but I've heard great things and I've wanted to take a trip for the longest time. Yeah, maybe we could meet up. What part of the city do you live in?
 
Yes, you can ask jay about some info that youll be needed to come here..there are also member of az here that is Filipino, and you can count me in..If you have any questions about here feel free to ask.
