If I ran a raffle and accepted payment to my Gpal account with this be ok with ticket buyers? I have a Paypal account but don't want to get busted again.

gpal was formerly known as gunpal. It was started by a few of the guys who ran the CalGuns foundation. It was a great way for gunowners purchasing and selling firearms to send money for transactions and as an alternative to paypal, who will not allow money transfers for firearms and parts transactions. They recently changed their name to kind of branch out and expand their market a bit. In the end, they're great. I've never had any problems with them at all. I don't know if they care about raffles or not but I would assume they don't. Always safe to check though, good luck!

It's like paypal but a lot more user friendly. In there rules it states that you may use it for raffles with permission.

Always easier to as forgiveness than permission:D

Matt,
I do not have PayPal anymore. I only use GPal and I love it.

Just signed up for an account. Is everything pretty much the same as PayPal? Can you just transfer funds to your bank account? Is there anyway to send a payment with no fees, like a 'personal' payment on PayPal?

Nope! :sorry:

I signed up for Gpal to complete a transaction with Tony when he last had issues with his paypal. The transaction went smoothly and I will def. use it again.

Just out of sheer curiosity, what happens when PayPal finds out about raffles? What are the repercussions?

My account was revoked immediately, and they closed my account. All outstanding payments were canceled. I appealed and it was denied. I appealed again and they said I had to sign agreeing to not run any more raffles.

Gpal vs: PayPal

PayPal will stop you and cancel your activity for using "Personal account" transactions for non-personal/commercial use, (PayPal is cheated out of their transaction commission!).
PayPal also will not allow "gambling" (which includes raffles) and will shut you down and cancel your account for that, also!
F.Y.I.

I don't know anything about Gpal, but I imagine "gambling" or raffles are a NO NO !!!
