Was just doing what I do. Went to the poolhall to check out the action and meet some of the players. There was too much smoke so I left right away.
Got me a room for the week at the In Town suites. Good price and nice rates.
After I went to the poolhall I decided to go to Walmart and get some food. At the InTown Suites you have a stove, microwave and fridge. Kind of a nice deal.
When I got back to the room there was a dodge ram charger parked in front of my room. There are parking spots on each side of this one way drive with parking spots at a 45% angle with rooms on each side. Then there is a cement block about 4 inches high and about 5 feet wide so you can pull your car up to it and not go to far over the sidewalk next to the building. So I parked in the middle and was going to bring my stuff in quickly and then park my van down on the end.
I brought in a bunch of stuff and went around the left side of this Dodge charger. When i came out for the next load I went around the other side of the Charger. It's dark out and the guy parked back from the cement thing about 3 feet. His car is kind of low so he doesn't want to run into the cement.
I stepped off the sidewalk not relizing that darn cement was right there and fell like a ton of bricks. can't roll or anything because there is a car next to it so I just stuck like a dart.
Needless to say I won't be giving any lessons for the next couple of days. My left knee is kind of screwed up. It catches and pops and the right shoulder I had surgery on is not doing very good either. I guess when it comes to keeping from smashing your face in a split second decision your shoulder loses. It took quite a jolt.
Hopefully I'll get lucky. But what a wakeup call. I'm not a spring chicken anymore. I need to slow down. I see now why old people move so slow. I think i'm getting there.........
I love playing pool but if I keep going at this rate the only thing I'll be playing is cribbage.
I can't believe it. Couple days rest and then Full speed ahead with a little limp maybe.................
Have a grerat day geno.........
