If you have a Dollar Store nearby, they have some 1x1 almost hard pool cases for $1. Picked one up for my son, and it's not too bad of a case. Probably the best $1 case you will find on the planet. That is probably the best deal I have seen at one of those places.

There is a Dollar Store here next to the VA Office I work at..imma have to check that out on my break

I've never seen anything remotely related to pool in one of these places (not that I've looked very hard). This is a good find.

Did you see this in one of the chain stores, or at a local place? Any info on how to locate would be appreciated.

Be careful about the interiors of these cases. Don't put cues you care about in them or you might end up with a nasty scratch through faulty interiors.

Dollar Stores buys up lots of damaged and rejected goods that make their way to the marketplace.

If you have one of those ultra bright keychain lights you can look into the case and see if their are any problems. Most likely not but be careful anyway.

Hate to see a $1 cue case cause you a $50 wrap job or a $100 refinishing.

Thanks for the warning, did not even thing to check for that flaw. The fit seemed good but tight for the stick, had to push it down a bit to get it to fit. ChazL, it was in a chain one. Called "The Dollar Store".

This might be something cheap a cuemaker can put a cue into before putting it in the shipping container.
Good find

i went out and bought about 50 of thm for my gus and Barry cues yesterday-they have a location thats a 20 minute walk from my house. My cues have never been happier or me for that matter.

I'm gonna go buy 100 for all the George cues I'm going to buy when I win the lottery.
