John Barton has stared "my" JB Custom.....perfect case

I say "perfect", it is because I have tried to get John to incorporate what I think is the best features of all the Cue Cases I have own, or had a chance to handle. Plus eliminate what I did not like about other cookie cutter Pool Cue Cases. More pictures to follow.:thumbup:

Thought the same thing as I was reading down the post and realized that Spelling was the issue.

Bruce - nice initial layout so interested in seeing the final results.
 
My suggestion to the grammar police to go find another cause, as this one is lost, and not changing his way.

John and I spend a lot of time exchanging ideas, and e-mails before he started this project.

I have owned Justis's, Whitten's Instroke's, Ron Thomas's, It’s George's, Giuseppe's, Swift's, Nitty' Leather, Porper’s and a few other brands of cue cases.

I have had the opportunity to look at many people's other brands of cue cases, including the OnQCases Brand made close to where I live.

I have likes and dislike about almost ever cue cases I own, have owned & sold off, or have had the opportunity to look at real close. I am no cue case expert just a guy who has his own opinion of many brands of cue cases, its good, and bad points, like, and dislikes.

I tried my hardiest to make a list of what I wanted the cue case to do, what I wanted a cue case to hold, what I liked about other cue cases, what I dislike about other cue cases, and now John has started to build my dream cue case.

As I get more photos of the Cue Case under construction, I will post em.

The other day when I got the First Photo of the TOP Pocket I showed it to one of the Guys in the Leather Club who was IMPRESSED with the Jay Flower Tribute Case I had. He was blown away by the work John's employee who does the tooling has done on the upper pocket.

John builds good cases, and is progressive in his thinking. If he sees a better way to solve a problem he tackles it head on, and isn't stuck in the past. He has a passion for cases and isn't afraid of new things. I'm sure cowboys case will be a dandy. I sure am looking forward to seeing the end result, not just the looks but how functional it is.


I'm not going to name who built my case because I don't want ti hijack this thread, but I have a 8X4 butterfly style case, I'm telling this to illustrate what a well thought out case can hold(it's not the one on YouTube-that's a different brand) I can put my player cue, break cue, hagar extension, lomax jump cue, cue ball, my knife, .380 gun, powder, chalk, tip tools, gum, $10,000 cash. And still have room for another cue. And its not over stuffed at all, my point is a well thought out case can do so much more than just hold a couple cues. I am going to have John build me a case someday. I would recommend John to anyone looking for a case. I saw the Mosconi Cup cases he built a few years back, they are the stone cold nuts and he is a better case maker these days!!! Cases are fun to design, not just buy off the rack.

PS the gun does fit perfectly in my case but I don't awalys carry it, just depends where I'm going. But I awalys have a blue circle rock in my case.

John thinks, and builds out of the box IMHO also. He is not stuck with a cookie cutter approach, and is more like the Burger King where he will do it "your way".

I personally think John is like maybe a "genius" who does not get credit for his progressive ideas, by those who only want to do it like they have been doing it for two long, not taking advantage of new idea, new designs, and making it better with time.
 
More progress is being made as the body tooling is getting laid out, and the tooling started!
