Hi guys, I know I don't post a lot but I enjoy your wealth of information. Yesterday I checked on an upcoming job. This customer has an 8 ft. United bar box he said was made in 1953. I've done many tables but when looking at this one I noticed that there looks like aluminun under the rail cloth next to the rubber. Is there wood in there somewhere to staple rail cloth to or is this a glue job? Ive never glued cloth to any rails before but hear it's the going thing. I couldn't strip much away since he needs to use table for a few more weeks. I just want to be prepared when job starts. Any info on United rail design and type of glue would be much appreciated. The rubber is in good shape but needs to be reattatched to some rails. I'm good with that but may need info on gluing cloth to rails if needed. Thanks again, David.
