82 Ball Run...... in 15 mins., 10 sec.

Thanks Dennis

Mike: you shoot so fast it was hard for me to figure what you were up to sometimes but that's me not you. You play with so much confidence I am sure you know exactly what is happening.

I was surprised when you missed that last one. Damn reading glasses.

Thanks Dennis, I understand your point. It is way too fast for someone to follow and to see what patterns are setting up. I see them but I am also right at the table and I know how I want to move balls around to set up later shots. To someone else, it might look like I am just letting the cue ball go into other balls. My 105 run ia much slower and I do believe it is way easier to follow the patterns.
Went over to the eye glasses shop this afternoon and their going to make me up two different strength glasses for me to experiment with.
I'm pretty excited about it. They should be ready mid week coming.
Got my fingers crossed.
Thanks again

As for the wear of the Tour. Blue & the Standard Green. They wear the same. I found that they both play the same & wear the same. Now that is just my opinion.
straightman: i may not have been clear. i was talking about the different colors but also about another maker of high quality cloth, Championship. they make different types, their Championship Tournament cloth being the best. i found that it was tougher than simonis and at least as fast. i only brought it up because it's another cloth option for you besides simonis. i found some on ebay cheap but you can get it everywhere.

Championship Billiard Cloth 3030 Tour Edition, 3030 TOUR EDITION This 24 Ounce Weight worsted is the most durable tournament quality fabric in the industry. ...

can you upload a pic of your table from the side please? i've only seen it from the top.

My Fault

No you were clear. It was my fault. My eyes skipped right over the word Championship when I was reading your comments. I had it in my mind
Simonis Tournament Blue compaired to the Standard Green.
Yes, I have heard good things about Championship cloth.
I am surprised you missed some comments on the first page of this Thread. "Tony_in_MD" asked about more info. on the table.

It is a Thread I wrote about how I got my table and what type it is.
There are photos of my game room on page 2 of the comment pages.
That model table was used in the 1968 14.1 Championships in NY City.
There were two 14.1 tournaments that year in NY and the tables were used in both of them. It plays like a Gold Crown I.
Let me know what you think.

mike: i remember reading that thread but not seeing the table. sorry. my connection is so terrible that sometimes i don't wait for the images to load.

that table is nice. from above it's just like a GC . same rails, counters and aluminum corners. and it's got a ball return too. that's handy... does it get aluminum black streaks on your pants too like a GC1? that eventually got old so i painted my corners with black epoxy paint. i wanted to also paint those aluminum edges that also leached metal on my pants but never got around to it. i also stripped the orig white paint and finished the sides and legs. i sold the table a while back. i'll be looking to buy another soon.

The corners are polished steel. Really super strong and do not turn color.
I had a Gold Crown I before I got my table back. I sold the Gold Crown to a Billiard Business to get up the money to get my table back. My GCI had a ball return on it too but was noise and the tracks ran down the sides of the table. Each pocket on my table has a rubber lined hard wire ball return.
It is really neat and it really cuts down on the noise. The same thing with the collector box, it is all rubber coated.

Lol.....

Thanks Steven & Steve.
One thing is for sure in Life. If you do not have fun in things that you do,
then they are not worth doing. I enjoy myself and win or lose I do try to have fun.
Appreciate your funny comments.

straightman: your table is better built than a GC. the noise was one of the things i really hated about my GC1. i tried various methods to "soften" the pockets but it was still loud. no ball return though... and brunswick is still using that crappy aluminum that leaches a black streak onto your thighs. they anodized it but that didn't help much. but brunswick does know how to build a quiet table because i played on one long ago. it was amazing and had a totally silent ball return and pockets. i'll be darned though if i can remember the model. it was the best made table upon which i have ever played. i tried googling it but failed.

back when your table was in production, brunswick had willie hocking their tables. no doubt many other table manufacturers also went the way of the carrier pigeon as a result of the mosconi / brunswick tie.
