Anyone want to give me the downlow on tournaments happening around Norcal? Weekly/regular tournaments, or anything that may be happening on a regular basis. I need to start traveling and playing outside of my immediate area, but don't really know what's going on out there. I know Sac has weekly tourneys at The Jointed Cue and Hardtimes, with relatively low entrance fees. That's kinda what I'm looking for, was wondering if there is anything similar going on in other places. Thanks.

You need to pick on On the Break on the other "newspaper" at the pool hall as they have the listing. Here's the link to On the Break one

Basically Hard time has the 1st weekend big tourney, Break Time Billiards in Modesto has the 2nd weekend and California Billiard Club in Mountain View has 3rd weekend tourney .. usually one pocket on Saturday and 9 ball on Sunday. These draw decent number of local greats.

Hey Bxter,
Another thing you might want to look at is the California Pool Players Tour.
They will be in Santa Cruz next weekend and Anaheim the weekend after at Danny K's. Can't wait to go to Southern Cal to meet some of the Az'ers.

Hey BENFICA, I've looked into the CPPT, and I'm probably going to join it next year. I wasn't in the right place, financially and game-wise, to do it this year, but I plan on changing all that by next season. Hopefully my plan goes, well, according to plan lol.
