Break Tips? Which one?

Hey all,

Ive been using a Samsara Break Tip on my break cue for a while now, and think its the best break tip I have tried (Ive had Phenolic and Samsara). Whilst practicing my 10 Ball Break last night, the tip just popped off. I very rarely have a miscue or hit the CB off center.

Now that the Samsara is off, I think I should try a new tip. Any idea's? Or should I just stick with Samsara tips and get a new one fitted?

Thanks

For breaking the Samsara is about is good as it gets, however when jumping
it is outperformed by a G10, White Diamond, Phenolic or similar. I like the G10 best (for jumping).

break tips

I had 2 samsara tips and I had them both pop off with in a week. For the time I had them they broke great. Went to a white diamond which is great for jumping but no control on the break.

Have a Samsara on one break cue, White Diamond on another, and have had Tiger IceBreaker before. Samsara is my favorite of all, White Diamond next. Haven't had the Samsara to come off, but have had the White Diamond (when it got real thin) to jump off. IceBreaker came off but I believe it was a cheap ferrule that caused that. Hardly ever do any jumping though.

I like the brown phenolic ferrule , shaped without a tip .
I did have one crack on me though , after a few years .
Jumps and breaks great .

I love my samsara break tip. Holds chalk well, breaks and jumps well too. I suggest you keep it but get a better glue so that it won't pop out so easily

Thanks all.

Its not like it popped off after a week or so...it had been on a fair while now, Im talking 8-12 months of 15 hours+ per week of play/practice. Always thought it was good.

I think I will stick with it :)

I have also moved from the phenolic to the Samsara (hard) & find that it provides the best of both worlds. It's hardness is close to phenolic, but it provides greater control & eliminates the necessity for making chalking a 2nd career.

Have you considered the possibility of a faulty installation?

I would highly doubt a faulty installation. The guy who done it for me is a Custom Cue maker (Wayne Holmes) and his work is always very high quality. I wouldnt have a reason to suspect this. It could well be the glue used though??
