My Ball Cleaner

Heres my little project I worked on this weekend. I took a 5 gallon bucket and converted it in to a cheap ball cleaner using a 3/8" drill. What I like about this is that the balls dont touch at all during the cleaning.

Nice job that incorporates many of the better features of the several home made ball cleaners.

I think that as of today, you probably have the best design.

It is good to see that you used a powerful drill and that you have kept the balls separated during the cleaning process.

Hopefully your design helps to rotate the balls so they don't just clean on one axis.

It does rotate the balls great. I left enough gap so the balls will rotate.
 
Spin and rotation are two different things:grin: the balls in your polisher complete a perfect circle, therefore can't rotate while spinning to complete a 100% shine of the balls, unless you disturb their rotation. That's one of the great designs of the Diamond ball polishers, it rotates the balls while they're spinning to insure a 100% clean & shine.:grin: I should know...I designed it:grin:

Nice design. Ive been thinking about making something too so Ive been looking at different set ups.

One question. Why is it important that the balls dont touch?
