Does anyone else think this whole fiasco with the racking today is crazy?

Holly shit, i was just about to post this same thing. This sucks. I know they needs sponsors, but this is crap.

A) It is NOT GOOD for the sport, for the show or for the fans
B) it appears to me that trying to fix it has only made it worse
Players complaining about the rack is nothing new. The problem isn't the rack that they're using, it is the players. Those that think the magic rack will stop the complaints are mistaken. Players are going to complain, period. The sardo rack gave them a nice tight rack like the magic rack & the players complained about that too.
This is soooooooooo true. Fundamentally, 9 ball is an easy game. Break, make 1, run 8 and win. The whininess, IMO, comes from when you have a shot on TV that your fans expect you to make, and you blow it. Even with all this fancy rack crap 90% of the time both players shoot every rack. I'm sorry if you can't make a hit and return safe. It is not the racks fault. I'm sorry if you get hooked on the 1 or 2, plan for it. Try to control your break and where the head ball, cb and 2 ball end up. It is possible in rack your own to be consistent.
Now, loosening the rack behind the 9 is cheating. Again, get out of your chair and look. I too wish we still used the sardonic, more consistent!
