I will be hosting a pool tournament at Cobblestones, 205 S. George St. York, Pa 17403 on Nov. 26th, Black Friday. Tables will open at 10:30 and play will begin Noon. This is a 9ball event with races to 6 on winners side and 4 on the none winners side. Cobblestones has shown a great commitment to pool in York by recovering three of the 9 foot tables with Simonis 860 cloth, after The Yankee Club closed. The Black Friday tournament was always a great event at the club and I hope to carry that on. They will be covering the other three over the next few months. We will plan to have all play on the Simonis tables. However, in the event we have too many players, we will plan to play the winners side on the Simonis and the loser side on the old cloth. Please show your support by coming out to play. Entry fee is $30, $25 will go to the pot and $5 to the house. If you have any questions, please call me 717-600-7739
Also, call or send me a message if you plan to attend so I can have a count of players to keep posted. I will continue to work on the owner to have more table done by the tournament, and with a big head count, I think I can get it done.
Thanks,
Matt
Check out the spot. http://www.cobblestonesyork.com/

I can't play but I'm planning to drop in. (glad I looked in here or I would have been heading to the Yankee Club. LOL)

How could you ask, ' am I going to visit AZB today'?

I just don't get it, Cap'n.

I will not be there this year, sad to say!

Looking forward to our new home for these annual tournaments. If this goes off as well as I hope and plan it too we will have a new permanent home. Bigger and better than the Yankee Club. Cobblestones has 6 Brunswick 4 1/2' x 9' tables. Full menu and full bar with a very wide variety of beer selections.

We may try to start doing a once a month tournament if we can get the attendance. In addition we will be at least having our annual Good Friday tournament here at Cobblestones as well.

See you at Cobblestones.

Kevin

Bump!!!

I will be there as well.
It is a shame what has happen to the Yankee Club - a lot of History, and i dont just mean in pool and billiards.
Hopefully, todays event opens a new door, and the Cobblestones can pick up where the Yankee left off.

Who knows, this could open the door to regional tour events now with the Planet Pool Tour being bought back, and others playing around our area.

Sorry for the delay

Sorry guys, I just have had a lot going on. I wanted to say thanks to all who came out and hope that everyone had a good time. Keep an eye out for future events. We plan to have all the tables done very soon. I'm going to try and post the bracket sheet soon.

Thanks,
Matt

1. Brett Stottlemyer
2. John Lerch
3. KC Wagman
4. Kevin Myers
5-6. Kevin Lindstrum and Mouse

The final came down to the wire. Lerch won the first set and the final race to 4 went hill-hill with, John Lerch pocketing a 1-9 combo and scratching in the side to give Brett ball in hand and a run of the table to take the win. Great job to all the top guys.
We got out of there at 2:45

What a fun time.

This was a great tournament. We had 47 players for our first event at the new location of Cobblestones. I was very happy for the turnout and my hat is off to Matt for doing such a wonderful job of running this tournament. Looking forward to our next event.

Thanks again Matt.

Kevin
