Was wondering if anyone new what the exact measurements of the
playing field on a valley bar box is.
 
I've seen both 6' and 7' Valleys.

A 7' Valley Cougar is 42" x 84"

Ha. I Google searched it and 40 x 80 came up. I thought, that can't be right because it's not a 7' table then, it's 6.6666. I adjusted the math and punched out 42 x 84, hence the edit on my post.

That's crazy. How the hell can they call it a 7' table then? It's a little over 6.5.
 
Now that I'm thinking about it, they never seemed 7' to me. To my eye. I thought the "7 foot tables" were the 6's until someone "corrected" me.

Glen, does this same kind of thing apply to the bigger tables as well?

Because mfg's stopped adding in the width of the cushions when sizing a table. A true 7ft playing surface is 38" x 76"...add in the width of the cushions at 2" each and you end up with 42" wide...= 3 1/2' x 7':wink:
