Sticky For Video Links

I think this is a good idea -- we can direct new folks that ask questions about, e.g. how to pick-out the triangle, and give them the link to the post in that sticky, saying something to the effect of "now if you look at 20:23 in Ron's video, where he's down to the last 5 balls in that rack, you can clearly see the triangle he has in mind..." Or something like that.
The only downside I see, is that we already have a "sticky" that indirectly captures links to runs -- the "2010 AZ Straight Pool Challenge!" thread. Albeit, these are only high runs for the year, and not all of the high runs include links to a video (yours truly being no exception
).But I think the sticky you mention can be unique enough that it stands as a resource all its own, and won't get "blanked" or started from scratch each year like the AZB Straight Pool Challenge thread.

I think that this is a great idea. While my link is not to a specific run, but rather to a group of videos, it may help while this thread gets filled in.
This has about 50 videos in it, mostly from folks here on AZB. Some instructional and drill videos as well. High credit to those that did the videos, as I am finding them all quite helpful.

I might also suggest that at the end of each year, we get a copy of the prior year video links form the Challenge thread and save those by adding them to this thread.

As you said, the 2010 Challenge link only preserves a small portion of the overall number of links to videos posted here. A link not on that page gets lost in the ether if no one posts to it in a while. I think a link library would be beneficial for many reasons.

That's a great idea. :thumbup:
Why don't you contact the moderator and ask him to set one up, if that is how you do it. I would imagine that one person (you) could have access and the ability to update and supplement the sticky and perhaps the rest of us could send you links for you to put in their proper spot.
The Mod for this section has to set the Sticky.
However, the originator of the thread will have edit rights just like normal. Pretty easy. I mod a couple of other forums. Just drop a PM request for a Sticky to the Mod. Unfortunately, this site doesn't list the Mods like most do per section. I am sure you guys know the Mods.
