The whole thing is silly--and not at all serious.

The Mosconi Cup will actually MEAN SOMETHING when they make it a real competition--with longer matches and winner breaks (and including perhaps both 10-ball and 14.1). Until then it's just an exercise for crowds with short attention spans.
