Players Cues

Players cues are now offering a lifetime warranty. That is quite a statement for a low end cue. I thought they hit decent as well, and could possibly be the best cheap trunker for the money out there now. Thoughts on this from anyone?

I've got a Player's jump/break cue that I have been using for about 7 years. I like it just fine. No complaints at all.

i break with one and gave my girl my jump break when i got a dedicated jumper. i bought my step son one, and they all hit pretty damn well. i think for the money you can't go wrong. between my breaker, jump break and my step son's, i'm still not out of pocket over $200. not bad.

My first cue was a Players S-pec, the one with the hidden extension. I loved that cue. My friend has the flame one for 7ish years kept in his truck and is dead straight to this day. Is the rumor true that Muecci made the butts for Players back in the day?

Players Cues are our best sellers. I really like their Sneaky Pete's and they have a ton of great looking cues around the 100 dollar range. They are hard to beat for the money, especially with the new lifetime warranty.

Definitely the best in that price range, hands down. Shafts are actually tapered right, weight bolts are easy to change, as opposed to some others, plus as already stated- the lifetime warranty. After work if I feel like stopping off at a bar and shooting for an hour or so I'll just grab a players from the shop, throw it in a soft case and go.

The wife picked one up at yard sale a few years back for ten bucks....hard case and all.

Dam thing hit great.

Settled a 75$ debt with it. The guy was pleased as punch lol. Everybody who hit the thing liked it.

I have three of them. Didn't pay over $75 for any of the three. One of them has a piloted joint (stainless) and hits about as good as any cue I own (I put a Moori medium on it). I got two of them in a 3x5 case with a Sterling Sneaky Pete for breaking. I call this my "sleazy bar case".

I found the shaft wood to be better than average quality for a cue in this price range. 3 plus years now and no quality problems of any kind.

For an entry level cue, it's a good way to go!!!

I had a Players 1pc butt stained straight grain maple for 1 - 2 years. I liked it at the time quite a bit. With a Triumph tip on it, it hit pretty well and was straight as an arrow.

Basically, when every "I want a cue and don't know what to get" post shows up on here, I always think of that cue. That cue was a giant killer! It beat probably $100k worth of cues! Not bad for $50!

Now, Player's is shifting away from plain designs and doing some sticker inlays and stuff. Anything faked just gives me a bad feeling. I would rather pay a $100 for an ugly cue than a beautifully stickered $25 cue.

I bought Players cues for my brother, nephew, friend and girlfriend (she upgraded to a Joss about a year later). No complaints about them whatsoever. Most of my friends still use Players cues actually. They're great for a budget cue. In terms of sheer bang for your buck, I can't think of anything that would top them.

Probably the best budget cue there is.

After reading through this thread i went and bought myself a Players cue. Dont know why, but what the heck, its Christmas time and another $65 wasnt going to hurt me. Plus i like the looks of this cue, the black/white, or ebony/ivory combo with the white butt cap. get a white with black spec irish linen wrap on this one and i should be good to go.

I also think they are a great cue. I will add the Nick Varner cues as another great cue for the cash. I even use one of the shafts on my player and I have around 30 shafts, some are custom. I bought 4 awhile back and two them had the best looking shafts i have seen,no sugar, mineral or dark grain marks anywhere, and the taper is perfect for me.

After my regular cue got stolen, I bought a Players sneaky for a little over fifty bucks and thought it played just fine. Used it with no reservation for over a year...until it got stolen too.

2001, maybe? I thought that cue was a great value for the money. Mentioned the date in case production methods have changed since then.

That's a great looking Players you got there. I'm about to get one for my dad for Christmas now that he has a table.

Players Cue

I bought a Players "Sneaky" from Ozone Billiards back in February for $52.00 to play in the bars with, got a free cheap case with it and free shipping, got it within three days of placing my order.

Been breaking every game with it and its still straight as an arrow, plays good for $50.00, have won lots of $ with it , and it LQQKS like a regular house cue, can't hardly tell its a two piece, can't go wrong with it for the price.

BilliardPro told me this one is discontinued. so if you are seriously wanting this particular cue i would get to ordering now. at least thats what they told me - AFTER i bought it.

Well, i got my Players Cue from UPS today. and i'll be blamed, you guys were right! that cue plays pretty good, has a nice hit. for only $70 i dont think you can beat it.

I dont necessarily like the tip, i think its a LePro, right? i am going to Owensboro sunday to see Chad Carter and have him do some work on my cues for me. guess i'll just get him to put on a pressed elkmaster on this Players Cue.

Can't say enough about this! Same thing for me, $50 Player's sneaky with a $20 tip upgrade. :) I bring it to bars, have even gone so far as to put it in the wall rack with other cues between games to try to convince people I'm shooting with a wall cue. Amazing cue for the money you put into it... I could have 5 of these stolen and I wouldn't care. They have earned their weight in gold for me, heh.
