Not dipped. I don't care for the smell of Nelsonite and Resolute. We don't need to dip here in SoCal. They were sealed with wipe on lacquer sanding sealer after each turn.

Hi
How come you don't need to dip in socal?
How is the humidity there?
thanks, Bill

Hi Bill, A rarity, it just rained for almost a week here and the humidity was brutal 45-50%. Pretty much stopped all wood turning. Here is SoCal it is usually quite dry and we just don't need to dip because umity is not usually an issue. Seasoned and straight grained shaftwood, slow cutting, and coring of most forearms also contributes to success without wood stabilizers. I don't know of any cuemaker in our area who dips. They might be around, but I don't know who they are. Happy Holidays, Martin
