Schon Pilot Question

Do it the right way

I'd let (Evan Clark) fit the pilots on some Partials (ld Shafts if thats what you crave. Long before just buying shafts. or another great custom maker willing to do the work. Mark

Thanks. I bought a used shaft however hoping to save some scrap. Was just wondering if the difference in pilots would effect the playability of the cue.

Absolutely won't affect playability. The pilot on my Z shaft looks like the pilot on the 314 in the first picture, very little pilot.
The pilot on my 314 is twice as high as the Z.
The outside diameter of the pilot on both shafts are different. Both sit in a void.

The pilot just sits in a void and doesn't touch the inside of the stainless joint at all.
The rounded part in the second picture, above the outside diameter of the actual pilot, face that off and what do you have? The same pilot as in the first picture.

You can even use an unpiloted shaft on your Schon and it won't make one bit of difference.

Don't sweat it, just screw whatever you want and have fun.

Ooops, I meant just screw on whatever you want.

wow, the Wallyworlds in Houston must be VERY high-end; never saw one around here. Your stores have Ruths Chris in 'em instead of Subway and McDonalds too??!

actually wallyworld used to carry predator cues online. now it looks like they just carry mezz......look out BENIFICA the competitions coming.:p

I know about the walmartonline thing, I just get a kick out of folks acting like they can just swing on by the LOCAL Walmart on the way home, and pick up a Schon, a BK2, and an Instroke, and be all set.....:p
