Beautiful cue Dave. And I really like the silver accent rings on the Hoppe! :D
 
I also want to say thanks to scot at proficient. He finished a few cues for me during my move. I didn't want my customers to wait so I just paid out of pocket. Just wanted to disclose that. I always recommend scot for refinish work bc I hate it. No time and he is local.

So scot sprayed them and sent them back to me. I did the leather wrap.
 
Turned out very nicely, Dave. The silver trim rings against the Hoppe are a design element I've gotten really fond of along the way. I have several cues done like that. Adds a nice sparkle, if you're not looking for the absolute purist feel.

I agree. I like them both ways. And thats rare coming from a purist at heart. I hate to deviate from the classics. It's my passion. They are timeless for a reason. It makes me crazy to see cues with mixed genres.

And inlays in the buttsleeve and not matching in the points. That bothers me too. It's my OCD. That's why I pay such close attention to detail and try to have absolutely perfect. It makes me crazy.

I guess to be a top cuemaker like Dennis or Randy you have to have some OCD. I mean the makers that are known to pay perfect attention to detail.
 
Great looking cue Dave, I like the silver around the hoppe too. I'm still playing with the one I got from you, hits like a dream.

Thanks rusty. Your cue did play really great. It's prob a top 5 cue I've made hit and finished product wise. It came out great. I was sad to see that cue go.

Welcome sir. I'm glad it's what you wanted. I knew the second I hit a ball it was a special cue.
