TAR Action Room

The coverage has been outstanding. Last night was great. Everything from the announcers explaining all the action to the really good camera work and the match. That put the "action" in Action Room. Seeing the pre-match really laid out how it all came together. Incardona laying bets along with "Dipity Do" mouthing off to all in earshot made for some real entertainment. Tearing up that cash was classic. That was some funny sh*t! All that and it's free. Well done, TAR, bringing the Derby to all that can't be there. (but wish they were).

I think since it's free, there isn't much room to complain about the problems, but it is by far a first class production.

I did enjoy watching some of the action, but some of the mods put a new meaning to the word unprofessionalism, as did some of the commentators in the booth.

I would think the purpose of being in the booth is to connect the viewers with what is on camera and to enhance the overall experience, but at times, it was frustrating, and when that frustration was expressed, those people got kicked out of the chat. I know we do not live in a perfect world, and I don't expect adult behavior at all times, because after all who are we kidding? this is pool..... but I just want to say that there were some things that need addressing.

Overall, TAR does a great job of bringing good action to the viewers at home, but it's hit and miss. You don't want to scare people away with intermittently poor production management.

I didn't really catch that....I pretty much keep it on "full screen" when I'm watching I don't get involved in the "chat".

The TAR coverage has totally made our week- thank you!

Some clever person in our household figured out how to access azb/ TAR from the playstation 3, and we grouped up and watched it all on the bigscreen tv, rather than on a computer...

We were rolling, laughing, at some of the coverage last night- and more than once remarked that the commentary was so much better, and funnier, than any commentary we would have heard if this had been on "real tv."

I totally need a Mountain Dew, now, just thinking about it.

As far as lagging: whatever. Free means no problem or complaint- just gratitude. It helped our group conversations, and sometimes was even more funny as we would debate, over a frozen screen, whether the ball was going and/or what the leave would be.

As far as chat stuff goes, though, we never even had that on.

I thought the chat was classic. The Derby City is it's own entity. The gambling and the woofing are all apart of it. I know the commentary had it's "inappropriate" moments but don't listen if it offends. I really enjoyed Nick and John's thought as pool players and poker players. It was a peek into their world which is much different than most. As far as the immature stuff, I say have some fun and don't be wound up so tight. There is enough time to be an "adult".

Tar & dcc

I've watched a lot of the matches since it started all that I could anyway. It is great the guys in the booth are great and of course sometimes things get said that everyone doesn't like but that is life. It is a great production and the staff should be commended for it. I thanks them very much for it and will watch most of it till the end. The guest commentators are fantastic with their insight into what is happening and in pool itself. Where else could you get Billy's experience in the booth and Mars and all of them talking is what makes it great. I myself don't use bad language but this is life and you just go on and enjoy the other parts.
It is like a gay guy told me one time," I don't like to have sex with women but it don't bother me if you do in the same room I don't care ", life is short live it and enjoy.
Thanks TAR and staff for a great production and keeping us in on what is happening.

I bet there are a lot of sick people there. An its not from food poisoning. But those who bet the wrong way. I've seen to many people who bet with egos an not there heads. Little no talent an no stroke Dippy keeps taking the money. When will people learn that he is a gambler an not a pool player. The man can write a book on how to play with peoples minds. He is making the games the he knows he can win. Dip does what Dippy do takes there money. He has them lined up.

I've been kicked out of chat ONCE in my life and it was on TAR moderated by cmw what's his name.

I know it's thankless job and they do it out of love but they have zero sense of humor and take the job too seriously.

I think I made some sarcastic remark about being SPAMMED by the moderator after one of their numerous "advertising post" to buy a shirt or something and poof, I was banned without a warning ...

Kinda took the fun out of the chat but it's not the end of the world.
