sorry for the newbie question...

how do i tell what kind of joint & pin type i have?

is there a place i should be looking that explains the pin terminology here or elsewhere online?

i'm interested in getting a 314/2 or OB-1 to put on my cheap Nitro (McDermott chinese import).

Hello and welcome to the board
Just post a picture of the pin and most players will be able to tell you what kind it is

As long as you don't have a custom, use this chart on predators site. http://www.predatorcues.com/images/available_joints.pdf Hope it helps.
