Just got a call from JoeyA. The tournament at Caspers is off to a slow start. With the weather issues the turn out is small. Notice I didn't say light, most of the tough players seem to have made it. A few missing but the people there sound like a tough field.
The tournament isn't starting until today with only around 20 people signed up so far although 39 were preregistered midweek. Jeremy Jones is missing as yet, a likely no-show. Scott Frost, Gabe Owens, Cliff Joiner, Brandon Shuff, James Davis Jr, Silva Ochoa, are among the people there that Joey could name off the top of his head. Some solid local players too of course and no doubt more travelers that didn't come to mind.
Mini-tournaments the last two nights, a fantastic opportunity for anyone who wanted to test their mettle in tough competition for a low buy in. Not that JoeyA isn't well known on here but all I will say is that he is far from embarrassing himself. Sounds like he is on top of his game.
