The U.S Bar Table Championships, which this year included full separate women's divisions, is heading into the final stretch by kicking off the 8-Ball divisions today!

You can track the brackets however at the CSI Cuesport Tournament System (CTS).

I was called about 30 minutes ago that there is a bandwidth issue up in Reno right now, but it's being worked on, in the meantime, I'll try to update everyone as much as possible.

The 8-Ball is key for a whole second reason for many players who've competed in all three divisions. The top three all around men and top two women players who've competed in all three (10, 9 and 8-Ball) divisions will receive bonus payouts.

Below are the top 5-6th places in the 10-ball and 9-ball for both the guys and gals. Remember for all the results check out the CTS brackets (www.ctsondemand.com)

10-Ball Men / Mixed
1st ($4,400) Alex "The Lion" Pagulayan
2nd ($2,500) John Morra
3rd ($1,600) Louis Ulrich
4th ($1,100) Mitch Ellerman
5th-6th ($500) Brandon Ashcraft, Stan Tourangeau
(Paid down to 24 places total)

10-Ball Women
1st ($825) Vivian Villarreal
2nd ($450) Brittany Bryant
3rd ($250) Susan Williams
4th ($125) Nicole Keeney
5th-6th ($75) Bonnie Plowman, Heather Pulford

9-Ball Men
Finals Scheduled for 4 pm Today between Warren Kiamko vs. Larry Nevel
3rd ($2,000) Ross Fregoso
4th ($1,250) Bobby Emmons
5th-6th ($800) Josh O'Neal, Stevie Moore
(Paid down to 32 place in total)

Women's 9-Ball
1st ($800) Vivian Villarreal
2nd ($550) Nicole Keeney
3rd ($350) Brittany Bryant
4th ($200) Heather Pulford
5th-6th ($100) Bonnie Plowman, Susan Williams

Tell Justin to get out of bed and get the stream back up. It's 3:00pm for heavens sake. HEHE. ;)

Holly,

Thanks for the update. By any chance do you have the current list of leaders for the all around before the 8 ball event starts? More fun to watch the brackets and figure out the "what ifs" if you know the standings.

Thank You

I think more than the past several years the All Around race is more open. By Ray Skenandore knocking Alex out in 49-64th place in the MM 9-Ball division, and no other one player being dominant in the top 12 places in either the 10-ball or 9-ball...I think it will really come down to the wire.

The wome's all around is a little less up in the air with Vivian winning both the 10-ball and the 9-ball. She would virtually have to place way out of the cash in the 8-ball to blow the all around women's lead. However it is tight for the 2nd place all around. Brittany Bryant has a barely slight lead on Nicole Keeney, but Susan Williams is hot on their heels. Susan could pull it out should she win the 8-ball or place much higher than either Brittany or Nicole.

I know Justin is working his 6'5" butt on trying to get the stream back up and running. Unfortunately for some reason the bandwidth has been tough up in Reno. This year until today, TAR has rocked it out of the stadium.

I know how hard these folks work and admire all those tourney road warriors, from the truck drivers, the team from BBBP who are on the road more than anyone could imagine through rain, snow, ice...you name it. They haul tables and equipment to make sure everything is a go for players to enjoy the sport we all love. Sorry I went on a tangent here at the end, but I just wanted to offer a shout out of appreciation to the good guys out there. :)

The praise you give is very deserved.:)
