Is Mika the best in the world?

Close, but no. I still think that Souquet is the best tournament player overall even today, despite having a bad record against Immonen. It's just the feeling I have, don't have any proof. Ralf is always rock solid, win or lose he's always in total control of himself emotion wise, while the same cannot be said of Mika when things don't go his way...he does have a slight weakness there...
Discussing tournaments only, money matches are different animal of course...

I wonder why Mika decided to move to NYC. It is super expensive to live there. Does the Amsterdam Club pay him a lot to be the house pro? Is he the house pro there? I wonder how much Mika made last year
 
I was actually talking to a friend of mine yesterday of this same exact subject about Mika, I do believe that he is so strong right now, and had been in the past couple of years. So constant.

almost in every tournament he either wins, or comes close to the last 4 players, thats impressive.
 
I wouldn't trade shoes with anyone on the planet but what a life Mika must be living. To get paid as much as he does to play pool every day and all the glory that comes with dominating the game. Congrats to Mika.

Yes, Mika is the best tourny player right now. However I'm looking forward to Wu's return. He was doing beastly things before he was even 21.

Ralf is a great player as well, always in the thick of it.

Me too. Given his break and amount of talent he has in shotmaking, I think we would be on the top very soon after he starts to appear again the international circuit.

I agree, but Mika and all other top players are under an immense amount of pressure to perform well in these tournaments or else their livelihood could significantly suffer.

It would be very cool to shoot as well as him for a night or a week though
