Thanks Steve.. you take great pics and I try and learn and get some new ideas from them. It really is quite fun to try and think up something that would be a great pic, but it's also neat to just be trying to give yourself a opportunity to catch a good one and when you do.... that's the nuts !!:)

Thanks, CaliRed. I think its a lot like hunting -- lots of prep, lots of patience, and lots of luck -- oh, and a decent eye :grin:

low light is pain but you captured everything beautifully.

I used a 80-200 2.8 hand held for most of them. I have tried using one of the monopods in the past, but I prefer the quick maneuverability of hand held -- even though sometimes I do get some camera motion blur. Heck you can get motion blur from the players moving even with a pod.

Yes, you can buy any that you like -- they are priced pretty cheap -- about a buck or two more than Walmart, lol
