New Aiming System

So with all of this talk about CTE, 90/90, PITTH, double-the-distance, ghostball, etc, I thought I'd share my latest aiming method. I've taken the best of each method and combined it to form the most deadly method in the galaxy. It's called SpiderSight(tm).

SpiderSight(tm) will make every conceivable shot in pool, is geometrically correct, and can be learned in two seconds. You can use it with english and you can even tweak it to figure in collision-induced throw.

This method takes a seemingly INFINITE game like pool and basically reduces it to only 90 shots (1 shot per degree in each direction). Why waste your entire life trying to learn a gazillion shots when SpiderSight(tm) brings it down to an easy-to-manage 90. Most of you can learn 90 shots in two days. You're brilliant people.

As an added feature, you can twist SpiderSight(tm) 90 degrees and use it to figure carom angles. It literally does everything.... I'm not kidding.

The best thing about SpiderSight(tm) is when you're in the heat of action (whether you're gambling, tournament play or your favorite league) and you're totally lost on what the hell to do, you can pull SpiderSight(tm) out of your pocket, unfold it and place it on the table for an instant heads-up display on how to pocket the ball. Your opponent will be PISSED--- but, that's only because they don't have their own SpiderSight(tm).

Even though I spent tons of money on aiming research and graphics design / CAD work, I'm offering SpiderSight(tm) to AzB members for free by right-clicking and SAVE IMAGE AS to your PC's Desktop. Then, you can print it at work or at home for the latest in billiards aiming technology.

I'm so convinced that SpiderSight(tm) will change your life, I'm letting you print it TWICE--- that's two for the price of zero. Can't beat that.

Finally, you don't even need to know where the pocket is. Just point SpiderSight(tm) in the direction you actually want the OB to go and it'll go there. Set it and forget it. Good luck and enjoy.

Just put the yellow spot underneath the OB and aim for the red spot on the spider's abdomen! Can it be that easy? YES!

Coco - I do those things anyways. Sometimes, I feel like I can heal people while the lepers ring my phone at all hours of the day and even on leap year (366th day, as you said). I'll tell ya what, when you know what I know about aiming, the APA 4's WILL FIND YOU---- believe THAT.

I'm sure they'll be beating down this thread for a chance to get SpiderSight(tm) --- not that I blame them.

I think you've put yourself in someone's "bit bin"!
You've taken all the "feel" outta the game!!

The only thing you need to "feel" with SpiderSight(tm) is feeling where the F it is in your pocket so you can whip it out on the case ball. After that, it's like a big sign saying "SEND THE CB HERE TO GET THE DOUGH."

People might think there's guess work with SpiderSight(tm); but, if you need to guess where to put the yellow spot, you're likely blind and shouldn't be playing pool anyways.

"The steps" are incomplete for this purpose and a considerable amount of "user input" is required. The system users on this forum seem to be unaware of this, but I think you can be aware of it and still use the system successfully. Haha!!

Can this system be used on kicks, banks and combos? Can you use it while shooting behind your back on one foot? Will this system magically make Multiple ball combos?

Pablo, I'm glad you asked. Here are the steps:

1) Reach for SpiderSight(tm) in the time of need
2) Unfold / Uncrinkle it
3) Place the yellow spot directly under the OB
4) Rotate SpiderSight(tm) until the arrow points to the CENTER of the pocket
5) Stand behind the CB
6) Chalk your tip
7) Hit the CB over the red spot on the spider's abdomen. We're working on SpiderSight(tm) 2.0 that has a green spot there. Green, as in "cash."

Hope that helps.
Dave

Nonsense. Another z angle system that requires feel. Where do these guys come from? Must be something in the AZ tequila.

Best,
Mike

The system instructions aren't precise enough to define shots the same way for everybody, so nobody can say which shots will go and not go for you - that depends on how you personally follow the system instructions, which will probably be different from how other people do it.

The instructions are also not precise enough to ensure that the same player follows them the same way every time - we can easily think we're following them precisely but really be "fudging" them in lots of ways in order to make shots. (This is what is meant by "the system is not exact".) C'mon Dave, you should know this by now!! LOL

Why would you focus on a 3-angle system when SpiderSight(tm) has 90!!! Who wants 3 when you have 90?!?? No other system in the world delivers like SpiderSight(tm).

Sorry Spidey, but it just doesn't look like you have all the bugs worked out of your system.:(:D

Dude, name ONE BUG in this system. You plop it down, hit the red ass of the spider and the ball zips into the frickin' pocket. What the hell is the matter with you guys? Take the helmet, mouthpiece and coke-bottle glasses off and read my FIRST post again!

There's an OB spot, and arrow to the pocket and a red spot which is where you AIM the CB at! FLAWLESS!

I think you guys are just knocking SpiderSight(tm) just to knock SpiderSight(tm).

Let me tell you girls something.... SpiderSight(tm) will take DAM and spin it up into a cocoon and stick it's fangs into DAM's heart and pump it full of FAIL until it DIES. Believe THAT.

BUMP for SpiderSight(tm)

For those who take advantage of this right now, I'll send you a free carrying case:

Do all of these procedures really have precise explanations? Which produces precise aim, without feel, that average real-life players like the ones who post here can use on more than a few shots? If so thanks for the detailed information!!

Of course-
unless you can see the outer edge from spideys abdomen nothing else matters :grin-square:
