solid gold

consider: gold is about $1500 per ounce (thats 31 gram wght of 24k gold). if you have 10 grams of gold then its about $500 of 24k gold. since yours is maybe 12k or so, then you have 1/2 of 24k. 1/2 of 500 is 250 which is more or less the value of your item in gold, but one can factor in the artistry i guess and add afew $ to the price.

actually its less than 5g, 12k is 50% pure, 10k is 41.6% pure.

But if it's 50% 10k and 50% 14k that would make it 100% 12k :) which, btw, is 50% of 24k (100% gold, 100% of the time). I, on the other hand, am 100% funny, so I would be 24k... If funny was weighed in karats... The glass is half empty in case anybody was wondering ;)

Mix of 10k and 14k, not stamped had it made for myself a year ago with gold I had.

Not that it really matters to me, but i find it odd that everyone interprets this to mean that 50% of the pendant is 10k and 50% is 14k. For all anyone knows this could be 85% 14k and 15% 10k, or 90% 10k and 10%14k. Just throwing that out there. I was also kind of expecting a 2 1/4" solid gold cue ball, and thought "who the hell plays pool with a solid gold cue ball?" relieved it's not what I thought, yet still kind of disappointed.

I don't think everyone is interpereting it that way. I think that's actually a reason why it hasn't sold yet. I, for one, was joking with all the percentages. But the question of "how much gold is in it?" is really kind of a mystery, but at least the OP was honest enough to share with everyone that it is a combo of 10k and 14k. Many wouldn't hesitate to disclose inaccurate truths regarding of the pendant's composition. I commend the OP for his honesty. Good lick with the sale.
BTW, it COULD be 99% 14k and 1% 10k for that matter ;)
