Even if you edit the thread starter , if someone else quoted you in the thread the words will remain in their quote box .
I once tried that method , and - LOOKEE! - there I was , quoted in the 2nd post ! :sorry:
contacting the mods is your best option .
also , it might be in your best interest if you were to contact the mods before Adam Smith does - might prevent a short vacation . Then re-read the sticky about forum rules , and airing out other's dirty laundry . . . .

Change whatever you wrote to stuff about CTE. Odds are, someone will get upset and somethings will be written that will cause the mods to delete the whole thing.
nope , the other way is to wait for the mods to PM you - and by then , a little vacation may be involved . . .
